The men's Horizon final drew 4713 at Valpo as a home game in the finals. The WAC men's drew around 1700 at Las Vegas. The Horizon women's final at Green Bay brought in 2214. The WAC had 888 attend the WBB championship at Las Vegas. Is it easy to understand why the Summit is stuck on Sioux Falls for the tournament? Even the home game format of the Horizon lacks the draw. 2600 for the women's game on Sunday in Sioux Falls is a win for attendance.

Let's be honest here. The reason the Summit tourney is so successful is because of Jacks fans. Last years final between NDSU and FW drew less than 4300 fans. I'm guessing many of those fans were not clad in green and gold.

Summit WBB title game had 60k viewers....Obviously the time slot isn't exactly friendly for that game but it wasn't too far from some of ratings men's games got during the weekend on ESPNU.

Agreed Montana. But that's 4300 showing up, many who who were there for an game to entertain them. It's that kind of interest that will entice NCAA to select Sioux falls dspc for hosting rounds of the Dance. Looking forward to how the area comes out for sweet 16 & elite 8 wbb next year. Hope to see jacks ala Gonzaga in Spokane.
