Coach Nagy indicates point guard by committee with Brayden, Jake, and Anders.

Probably the best until someone really cleary shows they are going to take the spot. with the experenice we have else where its probably one of the few times its not as bad not having a clear point guard to start the season.

And I would not expect the starting guard ready to play 39.5 minutes every game as Nate may have been. It is an indication that we may use a deeper bench this year.

Yes very true. hopefully we can see the full use of our bench. I am excited about what all the bench guys should be able to bring. Honestly hoping for a break out year for Horstman too. probabaly have about 6 guys we know what to expect or what they can bring assuing Larson is ready, but the bench guys if they step up could have us as a 9 man deep team with great shooters and some size that other teams will have a hard time matching up with. I am excited to see what this team looks like.

You've all heard the saying "when you have 2 quarterbacks you don't have any"......Hoping this does not apply to DI college basketball.

It is a bit demanding to think 1 PG will take care of business like Nate. The movement of Brayden to PG or Anders to PG might be substitutions that we might find in the lineups of different people on the court on a consistent basis for Jackrabbits to have more looks that may create some trouble for opposition with different players on the floor. Either way I am sure it will be rough until the playing time smoothes the edges of the learning curve for assignments and timing. The coaching staff might be ready for a Nateless season.

Actually i think it's an indication that we better have a deeper bench this year. We have 3 players coming back that averaged about 33 min. a game. The player with the next most minutes averaged had 12. Obviously we're going to need a lot of players to step up.

Those 33 minutes may have been more exhausting if Nate had not been on the court making the plays. I am not saying that there was lots of standing around, but when the ball was in Nate's hands your job is easier. I am ready to see more players contribute.

I'm either very impressed that Broman has shown enough to warrant this honor, or really concerned that he is needed to do so. Time will tell. The only sure thing is that I'm really excited to watch this team sort things out on the court. Expectations are low for the first month but I think the product we see on the floor in March will be dramitcally better than the one we see in November. We fans are probably going to have to be patient but we might get a big payoff at the end.

                      I have a feeling it's the former.

I'm not really surprised he's competing for point guard minutes after I read an article about his workout schedule in high school. I don't remember the exact details, but it was something I would have not even considered as a high schooler (for anything, not just basketball). Also, he had the ball in his hands a ton in high school, so it isn't a completely foreign concept for him either.
If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.
