  • Coaches at SDSU advance salaries

TV had article about Coach Nagy and Coach Johnston earning a raise. AJ is on short list who(WOMEN BB) make more than football coach. AJ $180K and Coach Nagy at $200K which places both above Saul at NDSU!

Re: Coaches at SDSU advance salaries

NDSU Athletics officials announced Tuesday morning that Bohl has signed an 8 year contract extension that runs through 2021.

The deal includes a base salary of $206,000 per year.

Taylor said the current base salary of the contract is $206,503. The annual salary will be increased by a minimum of five percent per year effective July 1, 2013, contingent on performance evaluations.

The contract includes a 3 percent of gross home football regular season single-game and season ticket sales. There are also incentives for a Missouri Valley Football Conference Championship ($10,000), Football Championship Subdivision home ($5,000) and away ($2,500) playoff games, a FCS runner-up finish ($10,000) and a FCS championship ($15,000).

He makes $206k base + 3% of gross home ticket sales + 75K(media, speeches and camps) + incentives(MVFC championship=$10K, National Championship=15k, FCS runner up=10K, each home playoff game=5k, each away playoff game=2.5K). Last year it was just a bit under $350k.

He also gets $15k paid into an annuity of his choice each year

So how much money will Nebraska need to pile at his door at the end of this season, to have him move South?

Nebraska would never settle for hiring a FCS coach.

Probably not, EXCEPT for Craig Bohl. He is very high on the list when potential replacements are discussed.

Plus, It's not like Jim Tressel did anything when he went from FCS to Ohio State...........SMH.

And plus being a former coach there so its not like he hasnt been there before. Frankly I was surprised he went to NDSU, good choice on his part but figured he would have orignally gone to a cordinator position at a major BSC school.

Speaking of Bohl, leaving Lincoln was not really his choice. There was some questions about the defense, and he was more or less let go. Being part of the team Wisconsin that failed miserably prior to Alverz, that included Don Morton from NDSU, Mike Daly SDSU-NDSU, Bob Babich, and evern grad assistant John Stieglemeire, he had a good shot at the job at NDSU. It's unusual that a former Coach Don Morton still has so much pull in Bisonville that Bohl got the job. One of his other recommendations, Bob Babich did not work out so good at NDSU. I know this goes back a few years, but Morton went from NDSU to Tulsa to B10 Wisconsin where the Peter Principal ate him alive. Morton btw is an executive for Microsoft in Fargo.

So seeing Bohl back in Lincoln might not seem so plausible, as many Big Red fans have memories like elephants and there are others who deserve a chance before taking Bohl back.
