That they are indeed. Seems that Denver and Omaha would made better pair, leaving USD and WIU paired.

The logistics of getting to Vermillion and to Macomb are relatively difficult, and practicality would tend to push towards pairing both of those schools with relatively easier-to-reach travel partners.

(Brookings is also in the same 'relatively difficult' category, BTW, but the pairing with NDSU is pretty much locked in by geography until/unless the conference adds a couple of Minnesota schools and/or UND).
