Last year Western Illinois rented Augie fans to cheer for them in the Tournament . . .

The Oakland women have been visiting SF grade schools and geting some fans as well. I think it is the best alternative to bussing in hometown fans like ORU did last year as well. The students paid $25 for the ride and stayed until they were done. We have an excellent situation geographically. We should allow the "vistors" some latitude for some support in the tournament! I do enjoy being able to get there on a daily basis from an hour away

For the USD men at Western Illinois, attendance was 5,089 fans, largest crowd in Western Hall in 26 years!! Good for the Leathernecks and good for the Summit League.

That's probably a good thing for usd. A team they might have a good chance to beat. Better chance then playing ndsu. Plus if they do win get a game to prepare and they have a good chance now compared to being the 6 seed imo.

Bader 4-16 FG tonight with 1-11 3pfg. He had 12 points total with 3-3 ft. The Mastodons seem to have an edge lately on the Grizz. Will this advantage continue in Sious Falls?

I was reading the WIU message board and someone (JackJD?) posted the Argus Leader story about the game that included a mistake about the sex of the players. I saw the post, and immediately wondered why the AL would be covering a game involving WIU. Took me about 15 seconds to realize that USD was involved. Read into that what you will, either regarding my own intelligence or the quality of season USD is having.

I put it in smack just in case. Had lunch today with USD side of the family. They are much disappointed the team didn't pull out a win, hopefull for the rematch, but more optimistic for the women. I have a feeling the USD crowd could be smaller for the mens game if the women don't win.
