A couple of interesting things to note at this point. Oakland is 2-6. Certainly they have a very difficult OOC schedule, but they lose another close one on the road to a team that should be in their ability to beat. That game shows that the bench is not contributing at all. 22 minutes from the bench and 2 points. If that is cured, OU will be much more competitive. Next Fort Wayne wins a close game against Ohio by one with a late layup. The biggest note on this victory for them is there were over 3000 fans at the game. They are 5-4. Did anyone notice that USD beat IUPUI in front of nearly 2000. yotes are 4-4. WIU leads the league at 2-0. They scored 68 points in front of a UMKC crowd of 900. ( No NDSU game, but we certainly see that the bison are closer than they appear in the rear view mirror.)

The women games still lag substanially in attendance, but it appears that Oakland could be competitive earlier than some of the UMKC or IUPUI teams. I will not enjoy the mirror schedules to begin, but I will see the home games. It should be a good season for the league with the loss of ORU and SUU not even creating a long lasting conversation.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife
