  • WIU at USD

With 2:48 to go, WIU 59, USD 51.
As we know, an eight-point deficit to WIU is trouble.
USD looking okay. The USD freshman, Kasperbauer (Carroll, IA) is a player. Another freshman, Flack (Lakeville, MN) has a lot of potential too.

Now, 1:35 to go, WIU 63, USD 54

USD hits a three to tie it at 71 with 5.8 seconds left. WIU inbounds, takes it down the court and Ceola Clark drives and shoots from about five feet out, underhand runner, and it enters the basket as the buzzer sounds. WIU 74, USD 71. Tough loss for the Yotes. Pretty exciting finish for one who didn't have a dog in the fight.

A sparse crowd in the DakotaDome. Those who failed to attend missed a competitive game.

USD scored 19 points in the first half and 52 in the second. Either Boots made a masterful adjustment or WIU really relaxed their famous defense.

IUPUI getting waxed (79-65) by KC was a bit of a surprise to me tonight.

Games like this are what make all the summit league games so good. I love watching when sdsu plays but I also enjoy following a good game when sdsu isn't playing. Last yeat was a perfect exapmle of it for both the mens and womens sessions.

UNO may be in for a long season. Lost 95-51 in Fargo.

Witness, there's no requirement on this board that one has to 'smack' in nearly every post they contribute. The comment I made noted the crowd was sparse...that's a statement of fact (perhaps someone would argue the crowd was a good crowd but at least that would be a fact-based discussion). Your comment had only one purpose and that should be taken to smack.

The crowd was SPARSE. Is sparse Swedish for crappy? And quiet. Was a great game. Had our chances to win but didn't.

Haha fine I will keep that in the smack section, but in all honestly it was more of a dig than smack.

You can call it what you want but you're not defining terms in this message board. Comments like that often set off a smackfest and we're going to try to keep that stuff in the smack section.

Well their are truths to his comment. Their only good attended game was aginst us last here. There is plently of truth to what witness said.

Exactly. I wish just explaining why there was a sparse crowd.

The State game had the highest attendance marks last year over any other game, but it wasn't the only good ( well ) attended game. Just like volleyball, or women's basketball, or heck, even football. If State played 605 in checkers, it would be well attended.

To be fair, Frost wasn't packed to the rafters during out first few years either...fans come with winning, that is just how it goes.

the u really needs to get that new basketball facility built. The dome is a terrible place to watch basketball...
