Talk about getting the most out of your hits,if i'm reading ORU's web sight right, they (Oakland) got two runs on three hits.ORU's pitcher did a good job,he just didn't get any run support.Oakland had the pitching to make two runs stand up,and they also played stellar defense and did not give them anything for free.Way to go Golden Bears, keep it up unless your play'n us! Looks like ORU might leave the door open a little this year?

The way the Bison have been playing, ORU might not be the team to beat this season. I'm looking forward to the series with you guys at the end of the month.

True, you guys are the "scariest" team thus far in the league. An 80%winning percentage is unreal(last i looked 20-5).ORU looks vulnerable this year, but that can change too,or not?

Apparently it changed in the 5th inning for ORU. Wow did their bats wake up. 11 runs in 3 innings and the game isn't over. 13-5 ORU after 7.

Streak just ended with a 9-1 loss to UNO. Would've been nice to meet you guys riding the streak, but sweeping away series is darn hard to do no matter the competition. I figure the same thing will happen at WIU and we'll be 26-7(24-7 DI) when we meet on the 17th.

NDSU loses to Mayville State. Ouch.

Maybe we should have a NDSU thread. I checked Mayville's record, and they have 21-13 record after yesterday. They are not a bad club. They are probably capable of beating a bunch of Sumit League teams on the right day. Looking at the stats and game story, both teams used pitching by committee, so no standout pitcher for Mayville. On the road Mayville has a 13-3 record.

Um, Mayville had lost five in a row to mediocre D-II and III competition and their last win they gave up 19 runs to Dakota State. On any given day....

The Dakota State game might have been pitching by committee and no one could get a strike across the plate or the wind was blowing out that day like at Wrigley. NDSU should not have lost to Mayville, nor should SDSU have nearly lost to Mounty Marty. These things happen to the best of teams.
