The next two weeks are huge for the conference. Need to pick up a couple of wins over Major teams. Oral Roberts picking up a win over Gonzaga or Xavier would be great.

After the New Year pretty much all that's left is conference games so it's pretty much impossible to move up anymore in the rankings.

Well not really, if the teams that the Summit League played in OOC finished high in their conference games, then the RPI for the Summit can go up. Unlikely, but it can still happen. After the new year, the Summit needs to play solid teams in the ESPN Bracket Buster games and win those game. That will help also.

The one thing that will help this league more than anything is getting one team in the league to have an RPI above 50 and getting a No. 12 seeding or higher and then pulling off an upset or two so the league can collect some of that NCAA tourney money.

Having SDSU add Washington to that list this weekend would be nice... It's a long-shot, but not impossible. We seem to be playing much better now than we were against UGA and the Gophers, and those games were there for the taking in the 2nd half.

ORU loses to Gonzaga on the mens side and ORU loses to Grambling in overtime after blowing a big lead. Grambling had 40 turnovers and ORU 25 ORU also did a Jacks and went 17 minutes with three baskets

UMKC beat Canisius 72-67 tonight. Probably closer than it should have been as Canisius has just 1 win this year.
