    Re: US Women's Open

Day 1 is mostly finished. There's currently a suspension of play for dangerous conditions(lightning?), but most of the field is finished. Both Crystal and Amy are among those done for the day. Amy shot a 73(+2) to currently tie for 46th, while Crystal shot a 74(+3) and is tied for 57th. The leader is sitting at -5, and the top 64 golfers at the end of the second round tomorrow will advance to the match play stage.

There is still a whole lotta golf to be played yet today, but it's looking good for Amy and bad for Crystal. Amy shot even par today to stay at +2, but Crystal dropped another 3 back to end at +6. At the moment, Amy is tied for 29th and Crystal is tied for 76th. The top 64 will advance, so it looks like Amy will make it but Crystal won't.

Oops, spoke too soon in regards to Crystal. The field shifted enough that she made the cut. Her +6 ties her for 59th with five others. Another five are tied at +7 for the final spot. Don't know how they determine tie breaking, but it doesn't really matter for Crystal.
