Howard in at IUPUI

The Jaguars hired longtime assistant Todd Howard to replace Ron Hunter.

He had the backing of Hunter and former IUPUI star George Hill. Took over a month when it could have been done in about a couple of days.

Perhaps there was more to the hiring process than simply promoting someone from within, especially when the someone from withing isn't a minority, well liked or not.

What's it called....the Rooney rule I believe.

The Rooney Rule is only for NFL teams. I doubt skin color had anything to do with this.

And if I was a fan of IUPUI, I would want them to explore every single option before making a decision.
