Re: Oakland vs. Tenn
Just this week Tennessee climbed to #1 in RPI after their win over #3 West Virginia. That is good for the Summit League
Oakland has Michigan and Ohio State (#2 in nation) up as their next two games.
I already had the Thursday, Jan. 20th home game against Oakland circled on my calendar...now I just circled it a couple of more times, this time with a Sharpie!

Re: Oakland vs. Tenn
I agree, this is All Good.
I think SDSU's women the past couple of years have raised the bar for women's basketball throughout the league, and the rest of the league has responded, and that's good. Oakland is leading the way in men's basketball, but the entire league (with notable exceptions who are departing anyway) are improving in that sport, too.
The Summit is now, I think officially an Up And Coming Conference To Watch the next few years . . ."I think we'll be OK"

On the men's side of things, the Summit had some great press with the early success of the NDSU men's program and then having Oakland scare, and then beat, top ten teams. Who will step up next year when the Oakland team loses the best talent to come out of the league since SDSU and NDSU joined?
It was a great game to watch and it got me excited to think that sometime in the future that COULD BE the Jacks.
Great win for the conference. Too bad they couldn't make FTs. They would have beaten a top ten team in consecutive nights.-South Dakotan by birth, a Jackrabbit by choice.

What I want for Christmas is some good ol' farm boy 6'8-6'11" beast of a high school player who's completely under the radar come from nowhere into the yellow and blue and turn the Summit League on it's ear . . . I mean another one besides Dykstra and Heemstra . . . I'm talking an Incredible Hulk kind of guy . . ."I think we'll be OK"
