ORU after beating 2 Southland conference teams like drums, have fallen on hard times losing to Tulsa and 3 east coast teams. Not helping the RPI for the conference so far.

      11-12 TX Arlington 1-3 (0-0) 216 110-58 W
      11-14 North Texas 1-2 (0-0) 312 120-87 W
      ? 11-16 Tulsa 1-0 (0-0) 131 85-86 L
      11-19 vs Harvard 2-1 (0-0) 57 76-84 L
      11-20 vs Villanova 3-1 (0-0) 28 52-61 L
      ? 11-22 at La Salle 2-3 (0-0) 108 67-87 L

Sometimes having a star player or 2 can cause other players to be less cohesive, unwillingly to play their role on the team. It is the coaches resposibility to help resolve that. I wonder if their is some of that going on here? My expectation, ORU is going to be the best team in the conference by tourney time. Too bad the second best team is going to beat them anyways and win the title.

I being picky here, but North Texas might be a step in that its in the Sun Belt Conference and not the Southland. Also I checked the North Texas Web site and the game was played in Tulsa so they had the home court advantage . I do not know how good Harvard and Villanova are, but the men's program from La Salle is usually pretty good and was exceptional a long time ago when they had a guy named Tom Gola, who played a spell in the NBA.

Oral Roberts with 36 TO's tonight...sitting at 5-7 on the year. I guess the Jacks aren't the only team underachieving this year (ORU is sitting at 2-0 conf though...)
