How the heck does that happen?

WAIT! 1 SECOND ON CLOCK AND UNI GETS TO TRY A FIELD GOAL AGAIN.
NOT SURE WHY.

Trying to see if it crossed the line of scrimmage and UNI fell on it. So, refs studying this one. It was 3rd down...maybe be treated like a fumble? (I'm getting this by phone from someone watching the game...not real sure what's going on.)

Here's the ruling. Second down for UNI, 1 second on the clock. this will be a 43-yd attempt. NOw, refs reviewing the clock.

UNI recovers the ball and will get a chance to what it appears will be able to kick another field goal.

I think they may have assumed the end. CBS game tracker still shows one second. Iowa guy backed away from the ball and let UNI recover it. Not sure where ended up.

Wow, rough loss for UNI. It sounds like they outplayed the hawkeyes. It hurts bad, but if you can't make 1 out of 2 field goals under 45 yards then I guess you don't deserve the win. Reminds me of the first time NDSU played the goofers. They basically won the game but weren't able to make the field goal IIRC.
