I'm not following the games closely but something happened quickly in the USD game:
11:37 in the second quarter, USD 24, MSU 7
Added: With 10:06 on the clock in the second quarter, USD 31, MSU 7. MSU apparently just handing the ball to USD.

2:50 on the game clock, Indiana State 20, WIU 10

8:58 on the clock in the 3rd score unchanged: NDSU 25, UNI 14

Coyotes are pounding Mo State 45-7. How bad can WIU football be this year?

Jacks need to knock the dang Bison down a half dozen pegs in a couple weeks. First, they fricassee some 'guins.

Hopefully the Jack Backers graduate to Bison blockers on Oct. 26 and pack the Dana full of blue and yellow.

High school football is big in that area. Sometimes games are on Saturday., Since the downturn of steel, it is hard to tell what is going on.

You've been to South Dakota, right?

Yes I live there, but you cannot compare SD with NE Ohio. I been there on business many years ago, and losing the steel mills has had a big impact on a Clark dealer, that lost a ton of business from leased forklifts. I was in Youngstown in 1973 when SDSU beat Youngstown. The game was played at a high school field and they did not have the facility they have now. This was at the end of my drinking career and I stopped into bar before the game for directions. None of the patrons, who were very friendly, were going to the game but all they could talk about was high school football. I know that's a long time ago, I just think a place like Youngstown has so many distractions, and comparing that area to Brookings is a wide gap. (Less people) The SDSU-YSU game was most likely not the only game in town. I know my experience with Youngstown is ancient, but a lot of things have changed there since the steel mills closed down. Maybe 12,000 is not a bad number.
