S. Illinois (1-2) at W. Illinois (1-2)

This slate of games should tell us a lot about the quality of each team. Missouri State looks like the worst team in the league, but I think the rest of the teams have a lot of potential and talent. Should be a fun conference season!

My Picks:

SDSU over NDSU - Homer Pick
ISU-r over UNI - Expecting it to be close, but tipping my hat to the home team.
Indiana St. over Missouri St. - Missouri St. is trying to de-throne USD from the bottom spot of the Valley.
USD over YSU - If Youngstown struggles offensively like they did against Robert Morris, they will have a tougher time against the USD Defense.
W. Illinois over S. Illinois. - Look for both of these teams to be greatly improved, and I expect them to make some noise in the valley.

S Utah leads Weber St 17-0 (on the road) at half. NDSU played Weber a couple weeks ago. SUU has out scored their opponents 102-10 since limping out of Brookings.

Edit: final score ends up being 44-0. That SUU win might end up padding the resume at the end of the regular season.

Therefore, using SUU/Weber St. as a baseline, the Jacks will beat the Bison by 62 points tonight.

I completely agree with your (sarcastic) point.

However, my main interest in what SUU is doing relates to how it can affect SDSU down the road. We are likely to end up on one of two bubbles - either in/out of the playoffs or yes/no to being seeded. So far SUU is looking good and could potentially help out on selection day. Weber, on the other hand showed last night that they are not going to help NDSU. It's fun to watch it unfold.
