Interesting. Let's just say that should provide some additional motivation this offseason.

I think part of me thinks Sumner is deserving having the most yards to be in the discussion for first or 2nd team but I can Understand why he is not. Jensen for NDSU though surprises me, Highest ranked team in the confrence and no QB or running back or WR on first or second team for NDSU.

        Re: MVFC All Conference

Though Sumner is very much deserving of 1st/2nd team all conference, I get why he didn't make it. He was a freshman QB who only started 8 games and was going against Kurt Hess, who played all season for a potent Youngstown State offense; Terrell Rennie, a running QB on a co-conference champion Northern Iowa team; Brock Jensen, hyper-efficient QB for the co-conference champion Bison (Matt Brown is a good QB, but Brock was more deserving of 2nd all conference than him imo). But the real issue is that Austin didn't get honorable mention, as his conference statistics prove he at least warrants that.

A more glaring mistake would be Aaron Rollin not making 2nd team, as his stats definitely warrant it.

And probably the biggest injustice of the entire All Conference team is Dale Moss not being on the first team. He is tied for 1st in receptions, tied for 1st in touchdowns, 1st in yards, and 1st in yards/game. Plus, one can't even use the underclassmen or "not on a winning team" excuse, because not a 1st or 2nd team receiver was on a playoff team.

Really too bad for our receivers, as they were definitely slighted by some of the voters.

Moss and Rollin were shafted for sure. Should have had moss on 1st and Rollin on 2nd IMO. Your right on Sumner, lead the league in total yards and yards per game and not even an honerable mention. I Feel NDSU was shafted with Jenson not getting second team and No RBs for NDSU. Not sure what their stats were but Thought they sure had a really good running game.

            Re: MVFC All Conference

Andy Mink not getting at least honorable mention is an oversight as well. Out of all MVFC defensive linemen (conference games), he was 2nd in tackles, tied for 4th in sacks, and tied for 7th in tackles for loss. My guess is he got lost in shuffle because of the Jacks poor defense play as a team and voters not looking at statistics based on position (i.e. though Mink is 2nd in tackles amongst linemen, he is tied for 16th out of all defensive positions).

This list is the biggest POS I have seen in some time. Just unbelievable on Moss, Rollin, and Mink. Just incredible. Throw in the glaring omission of Austin and it makes me think that the voters for this don't have a clue.

Once i saw Moss was left off the 1st team, I realized the whole list was a joke, so I quit reading it.
