I'm reading "The Murdered Family" a new novel by Vernon Keel, head of SDSU's Journalism Dept. in early 1970s (NoVaJack and my years). The story is based on an actual, tragic murder of a North Dakota farm family and their hired boy. Eight people died. It's a compelling story, well research and well written. I'm in the middle of the book right now and I highly recommend it.

Keel lives in Denver and was in Brookings for a book signing on April 17. He was highly respected and well liked during his years at SDSU. Buy this book!
