I've had contact with a reader of this board who, while not an SDSU alum, has contributed thoughtful, valuable posts from time-to-time. His wife is facing some tough surgery Tuesday and likely a difficult recovery. Bad time of the year for that kind of news so keep them, and anyone facing tough health situations this time of the year, in your prayers.

Re: Prayers needed...
I hope all went well today for the spouse of a board contributor. I cant help but think of the Avera commercial which is appropriate for this situation, when it shows several hospital scenes, and a person named John says a prayer for the day. I hope these prayers have been answered.

Re: Prayers needed...
Many of you may have followed the story of Ian Keisacker the last few years. He passed away on Sunday. Ian, and my daughter Olivia, were good friends. Please pray for his family and for all his classmates during this trying time. Great kid.

Re: Prayers needed...
This can be such a difficult time of year for these families who have to face adversity during a season of so much hope. May God provide peace, hope, and healing to all of those in need. For those that have lost someone, I pray for peace and understanding, and the hope that we will all be happy and healed Jackrabbits in heaven with our savior.
Blessings to to all of you during this Christmas season!

Please note that some of the photos on the caringbridge site are incredibly moving. Do not visit without a box of tissue nearby.
God Bless that little man, and May the Force Be With Him.

Prayers to the family. Tough to lose a loved one at any time, but even more so during the holiday season.

Thank you so much for making this post. I've gotten to know you throughout time, and you are an upstanding guy. To the posters on here, I asked for him to somehow make a post without revealing my name because my wife was in alot of trouble, and I do believe in the power of prayer. Whether I wear red or not, I know that all of you on here would and did understand that when things happen to people that could affect their lives, you would rally and take time to utterance even brief prayer for someone you don't even know you're praying for.
i want to personally thank all of you that did that, it was for my wife. The last 4 weeks were very intense and filled with anxiety, but I can tell you now that your prayers ( and a ton of mine ) were answered, and my wife is on the road to recovery in a large part thanks to all those that held her in your prayers. She is on the mend now,and with time, maybe has a chance at full recovery. Very humbly I say to all of you....thank you.
