So today I went and shelled out 400 bucks for an Xbox 360, an HDMI cable and Kingdom of Amulur: Reckoning.

I haven't opened anything yet and I decided to looking into release dates for Xbox 720's.

Looks like most likely a 2013 release. I'm thinking I might return the whole works and wait till the 720's come out. (Hey it's been what, 6 years, what's one more?) But I really really think Reckoning looks like fun....decisions, decisions.

Anyone out there with a 360 got any advice on what a guy should do? Do you actually think the 720's are that close to release?

Just keep it. When the 720 comes out it will likely be buggy and overpriced. You'll want to wait 3-6 months after release to purchase one anyway. Also, buy Skyrim if you like RPG games. Absolutely MASSIVE. You could play every hour from now to 2013 and not complete every mission in that game.

PLUS, do you really want to bet on us making it to 2013? How pissed would you be if you return your Xbox and then the world ends in December and you didn't get to play any games during your last months on earth? I don't know about you but that would anger me more than it should.

    Just some things to consider

      VERY TRUE.

Also, good points about the buggyness issues upon first release.

I may have been swayed to keep it already, we'll see.

But what if I buy an NCAA basketball game, download someones premade SDSU squad, and Nate Wolters get's injured just before the tournament ending his career?

Still have the one we played growing up, actually.

What really sucks is I seem to have lost the SNES we had growing up. I'm very upset about this.

I was upset when I went home and looked for my old N64 (MarioKart 64, ftw) and my mom had given it away.

              Re: Video gaming

I wasted a lot of time playing n64 mariokart in college. We fire up the original NES on occasion. when video games were fun and easy, a directional pad and 2 buttons. I still could never figure out how to land on top gun, always had my brother do it for me........wait, that just sounded like a line from futurama when fry couldnt get the last ship in space invaders and his brother had to kill it for him too. That was a good epsiode.....anyway. What I would give to have days of just playing RBI baseball on the NES. that was great.

In old country we play with round thing called ball. Find highest hill, let ball go, chase down hill, climb back up hill, do it again. What fun, spent hours a day doing this thing. Then one day Comrade Policeman took ball.
