Yup that be the old NWPS. Part of or all of it was American Legion club in the 1960's at least up to 1965, the last time I frequented the place. 3.2 beer and BYOB was the order of the day. The club sold the mixers at a premuim. There were no liquor licenses in Brookings then though some such the Elks Club had applied. Plus they had some blackjack games going in the backroom. (Sort of illegal at the time and lucky for me I did know how to play nor was I motivated to give it a try)

Goon...I'm beginning to think there's some diabolic point in your misspelling of brilliant. Misspelling "brilliant"...hmmm...one could spend an entire semester studying the misspelling of brilliant (probably a three-credit philosophy class). You may have to slow down so the rest of us catch up.

First its just to make all the spelling majors cringe and second its being typed on a smart phone so when its close to the right word I say leave well enough alone.

Yeah...just having some fun with you. We all know "auto-spell", "predictive text" whatever it is called, has added a new dimension to communication, and often it's a hilarious one.

Saw in tonight's Register that Wooden Legs Brewing Company has set their opening for March 1, 2013
