Hoosiers! If I am flipping through the channels and I see Hoosiers is on, I will sit and watch it.

Hoosiers for certain. Rudy - I don't even consider that a sports movie - hated it as I do most "football" movies. Remember the Titans was OK though.

I'd put BASEketball near the top of my list!!!!

Good list. I would probably drop Rudy and Remember the Titans for Field of Dreams and Breaking Away. And where would Caddyshack fit in?

            Ain't that the truth!

Have to agree with NovaJack on most of his selections. Here's my list although on any day I'd probably change the order of numbers 2-9 and no matter what anyone says, #10 on my list stays.
            1. Hoosiers
            2. The Natural
            3. Field of Dreams
            4. For the Love of the Game
            5. Rudy
            6. Seabiscuit
            7. Bull Durham
            8. Rocky (the first one)
            9. Chariots of Fire
            10. Animal House (come on…remember the two guys swatting golf balls and nailing Doug Neidermeyer on the helmet and then he was dragged by his horse?)

Put Costner in a baseball movie and it'll sell tickets.

That is fact. Costner is in three of the top five baseball movies. He just fits when it comes to baseball.

Put Costner in a sports movie and it'll sell. Tin Cup was a pretty good movie.

Tin Cup was very good especially with the NBC regular Jim Something doing the color play of Costner as he tore up the course. It brought out the snobbery associated with high power golf and their facilities. Along with Hoosiers which was weel done, the others mentioned were so so. Rudy well it was Rudy, about determination.

Hoosiers was a huge omission on my part... of course it should be in the top 5...

Another movie that had good entertainment value was The Replacements, another Gene Hackman coached crew. Sure, it was a pretty light, comedic treatment of the subject and probably not on anyone's top 10.

The Replacements might have been a modestly good movie had it not included the worst actor in the history of acting as its main character. Keanu Reaves could not act his way out of a soggy paper bag. He actually makes me cringe whenever I accidentally see him in a theatrical production.

The commentator on Tin Cup was Jim Nance, and he is at CBS.

Thanks I don't watch golf that much but got to know Jim Nance's voice and including him in the cast made the movie very believeable.
