I'm all for adding diversity to our "college town" atmosphere. I hope that they make it fly by next year - would make for a great Home FB season & year!! (Even though I'll preach against drinking on occassion - it adds flavor to Brookings!!)

Go Big! Go Blue!! Go Jacks!!!

That would be fantastic. It would be nice to go someplace that doesn't have all the same beers on tap and offers something different.

Does SD still have that law that cities are allowed to have one tavern/bar/liquor license per 1,000 population?
        "I think we'll be OK"

          A qualified yes.
Not an expert here, but the census count per thousand governs how many licenses can be issued. I think this number was 18 until the new count came out and now I believe it would be around 22 which apparently there is one being applied for.

Its a very interesting name. Dakota Territorial Judge Wilmont Brookings was once caught in a blizzard and had at least one leg amputed and did continue his judgeship with an aid of a wooden leg. I am not sure if he lost both legs or just one.

I agree, Seth is a pretty good fellow. He has the intellegence and determination to make this work.

              Good luck to him.

Am I reading that correctly: if you preach against drinking on occasion, does that mean you favor drinking all the time?
