Nook. I've had mine since Father's Day and I love it. I'm on a computer all day as well, but the e-Ink is very easy on the eyes. (I have the B&W model). Got the wife the Nook Color for Christmas, she loves it as well. Plus she can get on FaceBook with the Web app.
I'm hoping this cuts down on the mounds of paperback books that litter the floor on her side of the bed.

Books. I'm pretty low tech. There's this place called a library where I borrow free ones that I can read and return when I'm done. Pretty cool system.

Just finished another John Sandford book. If you like police type of mystery books, John Sandford is GREAT. I've read all of the "Prey" series to date and just read my first of his Virgil Flowers books. Second one is on hold at this library place.

A library? Is that not the lair of a "librarian"? I have heard many evil stories of their kind. You sir are a braver soul than I.

Since somebody has recommended a book, I offer one recommendation as well. Stephen King's Dark Tower set. Not the newest books out there, but a really good read. I would consider it a must read.

Also a big John Sandford fan. Halfway through the Prey Series with Lucas Davenport and about to finish the last Virgil Flowers book. I believe the first Virgil Flowers book took him to Brookings to help solve a crime.

Aristotle's Ethics and then Politics. Read them both as a young and impressionable college student interested in philosophy. Reading them at my current point in life gives me a totally different perspective. Most of these are available for free through Ibooks or Googlebooks.

Leadership on the Line and other books by Ron Heifetz, invaluable for those of us in leadership positions.

Learning to Fall: The Blessings of an Imperfect life. Great for perspective.

I had accumulated a small collection of e-books on my laptop, and laptops suck for book reading. I test-drove an iPad but it was too bulky and heavy, and besides, I already have a MacBook Pro for all of my mobile computering needs, so I went with the new Kindle for the dedicated book reader functionality.

Been well pleased.

I still have a substantial collection of books covering a couple walls of the basement mancave, though . . .

I use the Kindle app on my iPad.

Best book I have read lately was Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. It's the story of Louie Zamperini, Olympic runner, WWII bombardier and Japanese POW. Incredible stuff.
