Like many fans, I'll be in the field Saturday shooting (at) pheasants. I've been looking for a pocket radio with great AM reception so I could listen to the Jackrabbits at SIU. WNAX comes in very well in Watertown but we have a local station which bleeds over WNAX on a little pocket radio to the point I don't bother with it. Well, I found the solution, one I highly recommend if someone else is looking for great AM reception: the Sangean DT 210. Its digital (something called PLL Synthesized Reception) AM reception is every bit as good as my vehicle's radio (which is excellent). It easily fits in a shirt pocket, has AM and FM reception and digital tuning, presets for your favorite stations etc. It has a reasonable speaker or you can use headphones. The FM reception is also very good.
I did a little research before settling on this particular radio. It pulls in WNAX perfectly (as well as many stations quite far away). Expect to pay $35-$45 for the radio.
