tjbison -- Crime rates can appear to statistically increase for many reasons (and combinations of reasons) including: (a) an actual increase in the number of crimes committed; and(b) more enforcement (catching those who previously avoided catching). You have stated in several posts that SDSU student athletes are out partying and I read your comments to suggest that SDSU's athletes are partying at about the same level as the NDSU athletes, but just not getting caught. I suppose college athletes on most campuses are drinking some beer etc. However, the number of NDSU football players arrested for DUI in a relatively short period of time seems to indicate that the nature of the partying up there is a little different than in other places. Certainly after the first couple were arrested, others didn't get the message (one would think that if it was a matter of bad luck two got caught, at least the others would think luck had run out or was in short supply and they'd adjust behavior accordingly). You suggest the media is to blame for following the stories. I'm tired of those who criticize the media for printing actual facts on actual events. You also suggest that SDSU athletes simply aren't getting caught or, if caught, the media is ignoring the story. I am confident everyone reading your posts notes that you have not once stated any facts to back up such claims.

All I was saying is zoopaloopa goes on the defensive on a comments section of a newspaper and states things about NDSU's program that ARE going on at EVERY program, check it and see how many FBS and FCS schools have students with clearinghouse issues it doesnt mean they are recruiting a bad player! so whatever but you also have stated zero facts to back up the claim that no one IS getting into trouble at SDSU either,But I really don't care, I'll happily admit yes NDSU has had off the field issues do I support it and think they should be slapped on the wrist NO, I was one on B-ville who advocated these guys ALL get booted and still think harsher punishment was warranted afterall they are getting a free ride on mine and LOTS of other peoples dollars!! Happy???

1. When you point your finger at someone else, three are pointing back at you;

2. There but for the grace of God go I

But remember, this all started because of a blurry photo of a t-shirt that may or may not have a print of a logo of a school on it.

Ill guarantee you one thing ZOO you will eat crow for all your heckling someday, every program gets some bad apples, oh and BTW those academic inelegible kids well 3 are back and its expected the others will get the nod next week, with the clearinghouse issues all figured out, so......................

Here's the thing about clearinghouse problems: They're almost 100% avoidable. If SDSU with its small number of underpaid assistants working out of trailers and crowded offices at the HPER center can get transcripts through the clearinghouse well ahead of spring & fall practice seasons, then the fully funded, higher budget NDSU football & general AD staff ought to be able to as well.

In nearly every respect, NDSU has more manhours and better equipment at its disposal than SDSU, yet NDSU (not SDSU) is getting caught in clearinghouse issues so often that their beat reporter calls them 'predictable'.

That, IMO, is indicative of either bad organization or misplaced priorities.

And as to eating crow, I will not support SDSU athletics if it becomes clear to me that the administration has become more interested in furthering its reputation in athletics over the education of its students.

BTW do you know that the clearinghouse problems don't usually occur because the College is slow or has lack of care about it??? nope its usually the school they are transfering from holding back or the High Schools being out of session for the summer and later test scores but you didn't bother to look at that and just wanted to take a jab that NDSU isn't up to snuff on those issues but you type to see your posts basically
