Seeing a Bison fan care enough to sign up at an SDSU website in order to 'defend' his school's 'honor'....... Well, you know.....

      Hmmmmmm..
      "Far more priceless?"

Is that more or less than extra infinity?
How's it compare to much more endless?
      Or, to more deeply bottomless?

      Nominations anyone?

Frankly I can't fathom any of this.

            Dude, it's a fake

I can tell by the way the pixels change patterns around the logo on the shirt.

Geez. Didn't I know I was touching such a nerve with that comment. Certainly wasn't my intention to be confrontational. My earlier point in my post about the infatuation you guys have with NDSU in this Missouri Football Conference forum was certainly more confrontational it would seem. I assumed you guys already knew that "Bison Pride" and "Be a Champion" etc. were commonly used phrases in Bison athletics. Bison pride I would hope, was something that maybe a recruit might take note of over video celebrations or DUI's. Obviously there have been some bad apples in the bushel but I'd like to think there isn't a shortage of people trying to set a good example for them. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. And I didn't join this site to defend the Bison all day. I was sort of curious to find out more about the fans and insight to the team and have friendly banter about the game when it drew near. But whatever, smack away. It's your board.

Uh, you posted this in the smack section? Goodnatured ribbing is the stock in trade here . . . wounded pride, on the other hand, is like chum in the water . . .

I'm confused on this "Bison pride" thing.
LIONS run in prides, bison in HERDS. Right?

Didn't take long for you to rack up comments to lakes' proportion on Stu's editorial and guess wht you were "defending your honor" making comments about clearinghouse issues, which BTW just like drinking your student athletes have the SAME problems, but sorry the fact is no one in the Media in SD cares like they do in ND for our 2 Major Universities, so zoop don't look in the mirror on stigs program cause sorry you may not like what you really see, not what you hear.

Re: Check this out, Bison Fans

tjbison -- Crime rates can appear to statistically increase for many reasons (and combinations of reasons) including: (a) an actual increase in the number of crimes committed; and(b) more enforcement (catching those who previously avoided catching). You have stated in several posts that SDSU student athletes are out partying and I read your comments to suggest that SDSU's athletes are partying at about the same level as the NDSU athletes, but just not getting caught. I suppose college athletes on most campuses are drinking some beer etc. However, the number of NDSU football players arrested for DUI in a relatively short period of time seems to indicate that the nature of the partying up there is a little different than in other places. Certainly after the first couple were arrested, others didn't get the message (one would think that if it was a matter of bad luck two got caught, at least the others would think luck had run out or was in short supply and they'd adjust behavior accordingly). You suggest the media is to blame for following the stories. I'm tired of those who criticize the media for printing actual facts on actual events. You also suggest that SDSU athletes simply aren't getting caught or, if caught, the media is ignoring the story. I am confident everyone reading your posts notes that you have not once stated any facts to back up such claims.

Re: Check this out, Bison Fans

How long ago was it that SDSU was in the news about one of our football players who was arrested with a kilo of grass? Then there was the former bb player that was convicted about the same time for intimidating his girlfriend with a lethal weapon. Also the alleged rape that got SDSU more bad publicity.

What I trying to say is that we ought not to be pointing fingers north. Count your blessings we have not had this stuff lately. Let NDSU deal with their own problems. Its just not a good thing to make a big deal of what is now happening at NDSU. My guess is that Bohl might be on a short Chapman rope and he can not afford anymore off campus incidents in his program. This problem does not stop off at Dakota Magic and plays slots, but seems to have the ability to cross the board and find Marker 132.

So what goes around comes around.
