Lock it up, I don't care. I just wanted to state my opinion on something with out creating thread drift in another thread. I've said what I wanted to say, so by all means, lock up this thread.

It's obvious that SDSU doesn't like him, again I am not certain as to why, but to start a thread on him and diss him after his playing days are over is a bit much, don't you think? I know, I know mods, it's your board, but c'mon, give the guy a break. There is one theme that does come from alot of posters on here and that is your thoughts on how angelic all your athletes and coaches and fans have always been.

I have had several personal messages between several of your posters, and I come to realize alot of junk that happened at the Dome, or Vermillion, and certain unacceptable behaviors. I accept that to be true, just like when one of your fans called my wife a c***. That isn't acceptable, but doesn't represent your entire fan base in general. It's one or two morons that can ruin it for all.

Personally speaking, it took me awhile to warm to Josh myself. But in all candor, he was one of those kids that the more you watched him play, the more endeared he became. The word "overachiever" comes to mind for me when talking about Josh.

When I played ball and we played the Jacks, let me assure you that your players knew their share of filthy language just like the Coyote players did, and players across America. Unfortuantely, and I really mean that, that's become common and acceptable behavior, and as an official, I don't accept it. But I have been called "old school" for years, so that doesn't surprise me. Just please don't make it sound like USD has all these awful players and coaches, and yours come directly out of boarding school.
Its only fair to point here that this thread was started by Jack Observer, who has a lot of ties to USD. I believe Montana Rabbit made the mistake in one post that SDSU needed a player like Mueller. I dont agree, but it was a big signal for Rabbit Observer to start this thread. Yes Mueller is done playing and I really hope life is treating him right.

        Re: Josh Mueller

We should all cut the fans of our Junior University to the South some slack. They are reaching the time of the year that I remember being the worst part of transition. When everyone else is ramping up for post-season play and they only have a couple of meaningless games left. The good news is there are only 4 more years of transition left.

I just wish these trolls would spend time on their own damn board instead of bringing that crap in here.

Fortunately for everyone of Jackrabbit Nation there is a lot to look forward to in the next few weeks. Let's all enjoy those moments to the fullest but please take a moment to think about these poor bastards.

As in nature, the Coyotes will always be chasing the Rabbits!

GB, GB, GJ! And screw the U and Mueller too!

            Re: Josh Mueller

Anyone else tired of/bored with animated discussions of some guy who we played a decade or more ago? It's not as if SDSU hasn't had our share of guys who opponents absolutely, positively hated, too. I seem to remember a guy name Estling who had a bit of an attitude, for instance.

My point is that a big part of Mueller's game was getting his opponent all worked up and upset with how he played.

            I guess it still works.

Good idea, I dread this summer after the Stan Marshall event, as all will have to do is to talk pie and go to restaurant to eat pie. I could gain my 70 lbs back. Not good.

I really enjoyed the Estlings especially Caseys dad, and Casey was a very classy guy, but I understand he got very intense and emotional on the court and was not afraid to use them elbows. That I believe drove the fans in Grand Forks especially wild since he almost committed to UND. I often thought Rich Glas the former UND coach used to do things to provoke Casey. Glas appeared to me to be very jealous of Nagy's recruiting. Of course this is through my SDSU Jackrabbit coated glasses.

I will say something on the topic of this thread, then I'm going to stop reading it. Mueller was an aggravating player, and he did many dumb things on the court, but I admire his competitiveness.

Yes, and it's like the mafia in Chicago said about Al Capone, "He might be an a*# hole, but he's our a*# hole."

It's things like this that piss me off. I got reamed by everyone for posting that link.

And then you make an analogy comparing a basketball player to a murdering mobster?
