They played tough against Cornell. And if you honestly don't think they are a talented D2 team you are kidding yourself. I mean look at the roster objectively. Louie could have gone D1 at a lot of other schools and I'm sure SDSU would love to have him leading their offense. Imagine him running the point with Callahan and Kai. Tyler Cain is a beast. Dylan Grimsley is also a stud. The rest are solid D2 players.

Like I stated in my post before, they have not been playing well at all and need to start putting together some better games.

But honestly if you think calling them a talented D2 team is a big stretch you need to take off the blue and yellow colored glasses.

I'm not going to say Louie is a bad player and SDSU could use another shooter but Louis is not all that. He is 6-15, 4-14, 5-12, 3-9, 3-11, 8-20, 6-12 an 4-14. At least he shot 50% once. You shoot all the time, you should score. He put up between 1/3 and 1/4 of the teams shots in every game(he should be close to the leading scorer).
Next year USD will lose 4 of their top 6 players. This is their glory year and I don't know about how much glory is there.

One of the best posts I've read in a long time. I don't think Louie is the right fit at SDSU. Hammer away but that's the way I see it. He is a great offensive player but I think much better suited for a different level than DI. There have been a long line of high scoring guys like Louie that have had great careers in the NAIA and DII ranks. I don't think his game is well-rounded enough and I don't Boots is the guy to bring that out in him either. Maybe Louie will prove me wrong. Maybe its sour grapes but I don't think it is.
