    Go Jacks!!
IIRC in reading at AGS, UNH was the FIRST 7 D-I AT-LARGE last year. Their 7 included a FBS win. They, and a 2nd OVC (EIU) were generally acknowledged as the "last in" for the play-offs. Dang near knocked off an undefeated UNI team at the UNI-Dome.

IMHO they have as good a chance at getting in the playoffs as they had getting into a Bowl game last year.
      Go Jacks!!
Thanks for the clarification propar. I do not agree with them having as good of a chance though. They have one quality win so far against SIU, and that was at home when it was homecoming. We'll only see what happens though. I think they will need some help somewhere.

NDSU should not be in the playoff discussion right now. Perhaps and I mean a big perhaps, they should be after this weekend but right now, no.

Agree wholeheartedly, but that ugly loss to Youngstown should say something, IMO. That alone is reason enough to give pause about their playoff hopes even after everything unfolds this weekend.

The smack is flying and the excitement is building. My best prediction for the last game of the regular season is that is should be a whale of a game!

Thank you for bringing that out! I totally forgot about that!

A poster on Bisonville is lamenting about the Jacks giving up 40+ points on four occasions. I doubt they are considering the level of competition on 3 of the 4. We gave up 44 to Iowa State, 50 to Stephen Austin, 46 to McNeese State and 42 Cal Poly. The Stephen F. Austin is the only one that I feel we should not have given up that many points. McNeese was a four overtime loss. I will put our schedule up against the Bison anyday!

I tried to point this out earlier. The Iowa State loss include 5 or 6 turnovers, I can't even remember it was so many. The SFA game included several special teams flaws. The McNeese game was 24-24 at the end of regulation. Cal-Poly kicked our butts up and down the field. We were hurting bad on defense during the middle of the season. I'm not worried about holding the Bison offense in check. I'm not worried about our offense moving the ball. I'm more than a little worried about our kicking/punting game and special teams coverage.

Guys, if your defense gives up 40 points four times a season you have some problems. I know about the tough schedule but we've had a lot of tough games over the past decade and yet just three teams managed to score 40 points against us(2 of those games occurred during our 2-8 season).

That said, if you can stop Roehl, you can stop our offense. We aren't a Cal Poly by any means.

We stuffed WIU/Donaldson to 39 yd on 17 carries. I know that's a LONG time ago, but we're there again defensively.

Should be a WHALE of a GAME!

Not too concerned about 40 points 4 times to tell you the truth (three before a triple overtime came into play). We have sure scored more than 40 quite a few times this year and won't have to do that to beat the Bison after we stop Roehl (see last year's defensive effort for how to handle that guy). But we will take care of business this weekend first and then you guys are next. The streak ends November 22.

Man, NDSU fans even hi-jack threads about their thread-jacking. Aren't we supposed to be talking about that and not our defense here?

Well you team's defense is 85 Bears like when compared to UNDs.....

....There, now the thread is complete, you can't have a thread about Bison threadjacking without it venturing into UND smack.

... if there's nothing else worth talking about, it is the duty of Bison fans to bring the topic back to the greatness that is Bison Football.
