We've beat this horse before but I agree, USD has done nothing but kick SDSU's arse in terms of marketing. There's no doubt we have a larger fan base. And there's also no doubt there should be an even wider gap between us and USD. But the difference lies here....USD is doing everything in their power to market themselves as "South Dakota's Team." Heck, the even sponsor a major radio staion out here in the Black Hills. They have bill boards just outside of Rapid along with other signage in the mall. And SDSU seems to be satisfied with word of mouth advertising. Yes, we have good attendance numbers. And yes, we continually enroll more students. But, it could be a whole lot better.
