USD now claims the 2005 NCC championship in their football prospectus this year. As I recall, 4 of the 7 NCC teams tied for fist place.

They probably didn't have room to list them as "co-co-co-champions."



1 champion= champion

2 champions= co-champions

3 champions = co-co-champions

4 champions= co-co-co-champions


They claim to be South Dakota's (dII) Team too

Jealously from SDSU is typical. No NCC titles is about, what, a thousand years. No conference title will happen in about a thousand more.

The Jacks are about to be invited into that powerhouse conference of the mid cont so things couldn't be better for the jacks. I am sure the fans are waiting to pack the house to see my beloved roos and "cemetary univ" among others in that sorry ass conference come to town.

Forgive me for not piling on, but I think if you go 9-2 and beat two of the other 4-2 conference record teams, you get to call yourself conference champs. I can't say that I have argued when my Hawkeyes have won Big Ten football championships several times recently but actually tied or lost the title on a tie-breaker.

I'm guessing that if we tie for the Great West title, our football prospectus will call us conference champs, too. Let's come up with some SUU or UC-Davis smack or something. At least we play them.

We need all the positive kharma we can get this week, with the Mid-Con people coming to town.

I agree! I am so tired of the USD UNO smack. When they announce they are moving up I will take interest. Until then they are D-II and refuse to come to play us so let them be.

The only reason I am responding is I dont want Coyote Fan to lump me in the jealous SDSU fan barrell. I say congradualations to the USD for tying for the NCC championship and good luck in 2006

Same with me, we can't all be painted with the same brush. Champs, Co-Champs, whatever...the Yotes had an impressive season last year and I see nothing wrong with them stating they are NCC champs. I'd bet the other school's football prospectus says the same thing.

How about the "little brother doing well now that the big boys have left thread". I also heard USF is again picked to win their conference title. Neither issue is relevant on this board except perhaps for the purpose of smack.
