Nice try, Mavs Rule. Brookings is a thriving community with numerous businesses, some of which are quite generous to SDSU. I'm guessing that there is more competition to advertise on the SDSU scoreboard than there is to advertise on the puny, UNO scoreboard.

First Bank & Trust = Second largest bank in the state (after Citibank) with more than $1 billion in assets.

Daktronics = World's largest manufacturer of scoreboards and programmable electronic displays. Remember the Sony JumboTron? Daktronics put that subsidiary of Sony out of business.

Larson Manufacturing = Largest manufacturer of storm doors in the U.S. Got a house? You probably have a Larson door. (They also make Pella Storm Doors.)

I wouldn't be surprised to see VeraSun, the second largest ethanol company in the U.S. up there on the scoreboard at some point.

Those four companies are all headquartered in Hillbillyville, Brookings, SD. We must be doing something right up here.

And, for it to be "hillbillyville," wouldn't there have to be hills? 8-)
