You can keep the cowbells to yourself, talk about a hillbilly tradition. Why don't yall get yourselves some suspenders and a straw hat and have a huge ho down before the game. Maybe some cowboy boots and stirrups and do a little square dance with the cow girls that you have up there.

Old McDonald had a farm E-I-E-I-O, and on his farm he had a Jackrabbit E-I-E-I-O. With a bad basketball program here and an immoral AD there, here a barn there a smell everywhere on SDSU, Old McDonald had a farm S-D-S-U BLOWS.
I've always thought it was kind of funny how USD fans make fun of SDSU for being an ag school. We are proud of our history, proud of what we are today, and look to the future with optimism.

      HEY-HEY-HEY

      GOODBYE

and kiss your only good program goodbye with it.
One day later, and already SDSUcks is proven wrong. Imagine what the next 3 years will do to his prophesies.
I am not proven wrong, give me a break. I was just saying what was true at the time. He was on his way out and people were saying their good byes. I guess if I was wrong so was everyone because for about a day I don't think many people thought AJ was going to be coaching in Brookings. I don't think I ever said AJ is gone and is never coming back. He changed his mind, that doesn't make everyone or anyone wrong for assuming he would leave. If AJ himself thought he was leaving wouldn't it be a logical conclusion for everyone else to believe he was indeed going to leave. Again this is a blatent attempt at smack that doesn't exist. You are going to need to bring something a bit more enlightening than this to be taken seriously.

Quote from SDSUcks sometime in the next 5 years...

I am not proven wrong, give me a break. I was just saying what was true at the time. USD was a shoe in for the Big Sky Conference. I guess if I was wrong so was everyone because for about 2 years our administration said we would fit nicely in the Big Sky. I don't think I ever said the Big Sky was our new home, or that we will always be there. USD changed its mind and decided it was too good for the Big Sky. If USD thought it was getting into the Big Sky, wouldn't it be a logical conclusion for everyone else to think so too. Again this is a blatent attempt at smack that doesn't exist. You are going to need to bring something a bit more enlightening than this to be taken seriously.

How does USD plan on landing good recruits once they move up and are competing with regional foes of SDSU, NDSU, Drake, Creighton & UNI. These schools will be true DI schools that have no limitations and are in stable conferences. USD will be transitioning and will have no option for any post season play. Which situation do you think a recruit will choose?  What will end up happening is USD getting everybody else's scraps and having to take risks on players who might be athleticly good enough but will have attitude and academic issues. I can see future USD rosters being loaded with JUCO players to try and keep up.
Just wondering, if a recruit is listing up the pros and cons of the schools recruiting him do you honestly think USD's list will have more pros than cons? To be honest I have a hard time thinking up any pros or anything that is above average at USD and in Vermillion. Of course I'm a bit biased.

If you don't think USD can recruit than that means SDSU is in the same boat.  Meierkort is likely a better recruiter than anything SDSU has.  They have a better facility as well than CAS.  The dome hurts for basketball recruiting but helps for football recruiting.  Plus the success and momentum of the program will also help.  USD has an awfully long home field winning streak going on as well.  I would venture to guess a longer winning streak than SDSU has had at home for years.  The Foster kid out of Wisconsin should give some indication of Meierkort's recruiting abilities.  Foster isn't a sure thing by any means but he is highly thought of, and that is all that can be drawn from.  That goes for any program and any recruits that they even sign up.  There is always going to be question because they are all unproven at the college level until they get onto the field.  Coaching can also develop players into being better players than they might have been at a different school.

I would venture to guess that by football in September that the runningback and quarterback that start at USD with both be better than what SDSU puts out there.  USD is known for runningbacks and they have just started developing good quarterbacks since Ed came along.
If your going to say usd can recruit better you don't understand D-I sports, first of all in South Dakota its a wash how many people actually think hard about going to either one (yes there is a few) but most in state kids are either Rabbit Fans or Coyote Fans and if everything is equal or close to equal they are going to pick there school... As far as out of state recruits State has had a head start on getting niches in other states, basketball has a few and football has a few.... When you get 3 or 4 kids from one area that school becomes an adopted favorite among locals and when other prospects come from the area you have a head start on that kid.

Just think that all of your top players for both basketball mens and womens and football were all D-1 misfits. They were unable to make it or stay where they were so to find a place down a level where they would not have to sit out a year and yes USD has been ok, they are good, not great and never were or will be. But they needed a new home and a few d-1 transfers and you think your school can recruit. see the difference now is that all of the athelets we recruit now are D-1 quality. WHen you are in the transition period, do you still think your going to be able to get reject D-1 players? And if you think they will be able too explain how. try to explain it instead of making excuses.

Is there a reason that we are all still responding to posts written by a middle school aged puppy that obviously doesn't have the english skills of a third grader?

I was always under the impression that the K-12 public schools in Vermillion were pretty solid and that it was only USD that wasn't up to snuff? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

WE ALL NEED TO QUIT RESPONDING TO THIS BUFFOON!

Hey, 'Ucks! What's going to happen if your beloved Coach Meierkort gets the job at Montana State? I'm guessing that Augie and Northern will have some more USD football players banging at their door........

Honestely if Meierkort leaves this program we are going to be in a whole lot of trouble. I may be an optimist but am also a realist. He has been by a landslide the best football coach that USD has had for 20 years. I am hoping it is only a ploy to get more money but if he leaves USD is going to be in big trouble depending on who is hired in his place.
