I have attended many basketball games in Fargo and Vermillion for the men and women. There has only been 1 "asshat" in Fargo. Normally the hometown fans are more than cordial. There is more bickering on the boards than among the face to face encounters. I wonder...................

2 years ago during the USD snow game, we all remember witnessing snowballs being thrown from the student section. I also witnessed from my east side, last row seats near midfield (remember these were the old bleachers), two 40-50 year old men wearing all USD apparel throw snowballs up into the crowd as they walked behind the bleachers. I let the first time slide and then said something, to my wife's dismay, when they repeated this a second time. Are all USD fans/alums morally corrupt snowball flingers? Nope, just these 2 guys.

Exactly, seem kind of hard to walk off with a grill without someone seeing you. I would make sure I had enough time to secure everything before heading to my stadium seat. I don't tailgate by the way. I bought a 5 dollar program and went to go to the restroom at half time. When I came back, no program, and I suspected some coyote took it, but the guy next to me looked down and spotted in the next row on the floor. It apparently got kicked down to the next row. My fault again for letting it lie where people like to walk to get to the restroom.

USD has been living off its 2015 upset of NDSU for a year now. The media mentions that game in nearly every story about the Coyotes. I guess there's not much else positive to say about Boring Bob and his mediocre crew. Thank goodness the statute of practical limitations is about up for that game. I want USD to beat NDSU again this season, but I hope a victory doesn't set off another year-long media celebration.

I dont ever want USD to beat anyone at anytime.

Oh Gasp, it happened again. Everytime a certain fan from the south comes to Brookings for a basketball or football game he has a bad experience. He gets spit on, gets yelled obsenities ect ect. He claims he had hundreds of dollars of tailgate equipment stolen from his tailgate spot during the game. They leave their tailgate equipment out during the game down there and nothing has ever been stolen. He does think its a nice stadium but the traffic problem after the game needs to be addressed because it took him 45minutes to get out. They are use to jumping in their car and getting right out down there. Guess thats the difference between 15,000 people and 5000 people leaving a game. To read his full post, go to their forum and prepare to roll your eyes.

This is a complete bull**** post and a lie.........they don't still have a fan message board.

Does USD have SD Air National Guard F-16s or the Vanguard Squadron do a flyover at the start of their home football games?

Your limited thinking friend that took a personal shot at me made it sound like we just left our things out on the ground with a sign that said "take this". What was stolen was removed from inside the vehicle. I guess that's our fault, never thought about that to be honest. I guess if you're from USD it's either ok to do it to them, or simply attack their credibility by saying it didn't happen.

Then your good friend proceeds to say to go to our board and read my post and be prepared to roll your eyes. I challenge you to do just that. I complimented you on a great stadium and fun gameday experience. The 45 minute wait I talked about pissed off more of your fans than ours. We were still tailgating as they left waiting for the campus nazis you talked about to come kick us out, but to our surprise, nothing was said.

Your stadium is awesome. Fun place to watch games. As for the ASSHATS, they represent both teams very well.

Lastly, if you go back to posts 2-3 years ago, there was quite a debate from the fans on this board about how poor they were treated in Vermillion. Vulgarities, nasty shirts, etc. I don't condone that, but I did point out my wife was called a *itch and *unt, but apparently it's not near as offensive if it's said in Brookings as opposed to Vermillion. I love people that hide behind a keyboard and talk tough.

For those of you that never want USD to win in anything, I get it. But should we happen to beat NDSU again, and you beat UNI, you get the title. That sort of logic baffles my mind, but hey, more power to you.

Not to take away form your post Y.F.E. But If USD Beats NDSU it waters down our win (Becomes less of a quality win) so personally I think it may be in our best interest if NDSU wins (playoff wise).

Not sure I agree from a seeding perspective, but maybe. Time will tell. Wouldn't you prefer to win the league outright without an asterisk? No smack, just asking

I'm more concerned with getting the best seed/draw and going the furthest in the playoffs. Conference champs mens little otherwise. Like winning the summit league but then losing in the championship game. At least that's how I see it.

Fair. Football is different than basketball in the sense the tournament is national vs another round of conference games. Unless you win the NC, I would think 25 years from now the guys would gather in Brookibgs for a reunion and talk about winning the MVFC.

Either way, I think you're the best team in a highly competitive league. You deserve the title.

I'm not going to over think it. I'd like to see USD win because I'd REALLY like to see NDSU lose.
