We might want to take it easy on Augie. After all, it named its football field after former Jackrabbit star Jim Heinitz, who coached the Vikings and remains the school's all-time wins leader. I don't think Augie ever publicly acknowledged that it named the field after a former SDSU student and athlete, though. Augie announcements and other news reports left out where he went to school. So, what the heck, bash away.

I am personally having a struggle getting used to their new name Augustana University. They will always be a liberal arts college in my mind, and what ever happened to the AUGUSTANA ADVANTAGE?
