Look at the post you quoted earlier, it's obvious I'm not trying to hide it. Congrats, your team has won two first round games before being eliminated. Is that really so much more impressive to you than being eliminated in the first round? Everyone loses except one team so I don't see winning a first round playoff game as anything more impressive than a regular season game unless it leads to a championship.

Please feel free to factor women's basketball records into your equations, Hando. We're not sexist piggies down here, and this thread is not limited to comment about men's teams. Thank you.

Just to tact on a couple millimeters for the Jacks in this dick measuring contest:

Summit League RPI for 2011-2012 (when the Jacks made the tourney):
            #16

Summit League RPI in 2008-2009 (when the Bison made the tourney):
            #26

It TOTALLY depends on the color goggles you are looking at life through. I don't expect to win an argument with you on any of this - it will be decided once again by the student athletes on the court Saturday night.Pie anyone?

How is SDSU better at winning the Summit Tournament? Both NDSU and SDSU have won it once.
Lets face it. the summit league no matter how good or how bad a team is only needs to win 3 games to make the dance. SDSU has gotten closer to then then NDSU in the fact that SDSU has only had 1 year where they didnt make it out of the first round. NDSU has only made if out of the first round once. winning games agianst ranked teams are cool that day and having a good record are fun, and beat your rivals sure makes you feel good. but for mid majors its all about gettin to the tourney and winning the summit league tournament. For that single fact NDSU has struggled more years then not. SDSU has done better in that regard but unfortunately only have made the dance once, soon to be twice. untill NDSU can prove then can win a game or 2 or 3 in SF it doesnt really matter what a team does during the regular season or against a rival. back to you, spin away.

Alli can say about all this mularkey is that it is much quieter on this thread if we were playing the yotes. We should probably call the yotes and tell them they have a game this week at Omaha. By the way, historically- the bison have done much better at men's basketball than the yotes in DI. It would surprise me if the yotes may win a tournament game at the conference tourney. They may think they are a leader in the conference with a win over the bison on the home court in Sioux Falls with some help from the refs.
