I tend to say away from hostile enviroments, so good luck to the 200 who end up getting those tickets. Also I do not think a great deal about deciding to go or not go for SRO$40.

      Re: SDSU's Myth Busted

SDSU charging $40/ticket for the game was a great decision. They need to make money, which probably helped Sell get this game on Saturday. It's just business.

It also helped drive season ticket sales. It is a better value to buy a season ticket for $105 vs one game for $40.

I believe he was talking about Coyote fans wearing Nebraska gear to the game, not a poor turnout of Coyote fans.

My point is that this policy will no doubt prevail for the USD admin next year. If it works for SDSU, then no reason to not do the same at USD, to which I say no thanks and no business going to USD. Yes its about business. We all have a choice.

I'm thinking I might go to the game next year, but I think I'll just wait until halftime when the USD students leave and sit there.

Yet somehow NDSU manages to bring way, way more than 200 each year they play at CAS. How can that be? Have they changed the laws of physics?

Clearly, NDSU only sends pregnant women to the NDSU/SDSU game, and the unborn are tallied among attendees by the crafty SDSU athletic department.

Ditto for that. I wouldn't attend the game, even if I had a free ticket to sit at the 50. Just not interested.

I would much rather make the trip to NDSU, although they come to Brookings next year. Unfortunately, SDSU fans often run into the same problems as USD faithful when trying to attend games at CAS.

I'll go to the game at USD if I'm still in the area.

You mis-understand. (Or I did a poor job of being clear.) There was red, I sat amongst a bunch of it...but I was surprised that a bunch of the red wasn't Coyote gear, but rather Nebraska or some other institutions red gear. I found it bizarre.

Confirms another one of u-dot's brilliant billboard campaigns. Remember "South Dakota wears red"? Probably not, but I do remember when it first came out, my first thought was, "Yeah, when South Dakota's on its way to Lincoln for a Husker game." If you truly support your school, buy the gear. Sheesh!

Perhaps the Coyote staff will again move the Jacks / Yote game to SF so their fans can be outnumbered AGAIN!. That worked out so well for the Yotes I would find it hard to beleive that they would not want to try it again!

I said good luck to a Yote fan as he climbed the stairs to his seat. Just a genuine, honestly intended good luck. His response? F#ck off!.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. When he left at halftime I thanked him for coming. His response? A##hole!
