The most hilarious this coming out of this week for me is crap like this.

We've been saying it all along, and the various 'yote fans here denied it time and again, but from the get go, tomorrows game is all that has mattered to the 'yoties since the day it was arranged.

So let me get this straight.

USD prepares for TWO years like this is their Superbowl, the coach himself admits the first (and only?) goal they set as a team prior to the year is to beat SDSU on Nov. 17.

And THAT is what those yoties bus up to Brookings today? I can't say I'm surprised by the result.

So let me get this straight. USD prepares for TWO years like this is their Superbowl, the coach himself admits the first (and only?) goal they set as a team prior to the year is to beat SDSU on Nov. 17. And THAT is what those yoties bus up to Brookings today? I can't say I'm surprised by the result.

Good thing they put all that effort into this one. Can't imagine the score if they treated this as just another game.

I guess if this is indeed true the strength of schedule argument might have just cost the Jacks a playoff spot.

BTW you forgot defunct Yankton College and Springfield as well. I heard that Brookings middle school had a game scheduled with the Yotes but at the last minute USD pulled out because the strength of schedule was already too much and BMS would have been a bit too tough an opponent. Some of the Sioux Falls flag football teams are pretty good as well they may only be 7 or 8 years old but they can execute an offense a bit better than the Yotes can. They can also make more field goals and have fewer punts blocked.
