I was at the game in Normal Saturday, and simply we got our butts handed to us. No excusues. We got beat at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Did we have a couple of untimely calls that were killers? Yes we did. But in the first half, we got almost every break there was so I think it evened out.

I give 100% credit to Illinois State. They whooped our b-hinds. Plain and simple.

I will repeat what I said over on your board. ISU Red was not a good program until they got a new coach, a long time Purdue Assistant who brought in 13 transfers from FBS, and Mr. Leggett was a starter or close to a starter for Michigan State. We see these FBS transfers from time to time and some do not have much impact. I believe Legget got dinged a bit in the first half but had a whale of a second half against USD. Mr Leggett is a tough to deal with. Wait until you meet Shakir Bell ISU-BLUE. He too, is good enough to play FBS.

If it's any comfort, YF, I also consider the Jacks to a mediocre team, at best, at this point.

It was their Homecoming so I guess there were more people there than normal. The home side of the field was about 85% full, and the visitor side was almost totally full. The tailgate before the game was spread out everywhere, kind of everybody doing their own thing. Not real well organized. The complex itself is terrible. We are both fortunate to have what we do because their's is bad.

The crowd was into it. They had some horrific calls go against them the first half and they booed their butts off. Overall though, they were friendly and I didn't hear any derrogatory comments made.

Truthfully, I think you are better than many of you think although I haven't seen you play. The comparitive scores indicate to me you are better than your record.

Jacks play well in stretches, but too many mistakes. I was surprised by the ISU score for USD. I just assumed that Warren would have a good day. He's a heck of a player. There are good players at all the skill positions for the Coyotes.
