Re: D1 Pendulum Swinging Hard From Blue to Red
[QUOTE=Coyote_Fan;159561.... USD has not had a game where they were a significant favorite and ended up losing.[/QUOTE]
Let's see. Who has USD been favored against? One weak NAIA team. USD is not favored against good teams. NDSU kicked your backside without much trouble. Welcome back to reality.

Had been meaning to compile this list at some point in time and figured now is as good a time as any... SDSU & USD did it first.
First year of NDSU football. Played UND twice for our first undefeated season.

Re: D1 Pendulum Swinging Hard From Blue to Red
"I will definately take a 2-2 record vs 0-3" you are an intelligent one...most people would take a 2-2 record vs 0-3.
"Most likely USD beats UND to go to 3-2 and the Jacks go to 0-4 after a loss to UNI. USD has not had a game where they were a significant favorite and ended up losing." maybe usd does beat und and go 3-2. but go gurantee a Jacks loss automatically, after the way the defense played tonight, they can springboard off that into next week. and finally...which game was sdsu a significant favorite?

Re: D1 Pendulum Swinging Hard From Blue to Red
It didn't work out for the Jacks or Yotes tonight. I will definately take a 2-2 record and a win at Minnesota vs 0-3 and already a home loss to a middle of the road FCS club.
Most likely USD beats UND to go to 3-2 and the Jacks go to 0-4 after a loss to UNI. USD has not had a game where they were a significant favorite and ended up losing.

USD is going to pull an NDSU.
They're going to beat Minnesota and lose the Great West.
The moral of the story?
Minnesota sucks.

I've also heard USD's upcoming trip up north has JackJD filled with nostalgia. A good portion of the drive, as was pointed out by JackJD himself, is upon the ancient lakebed of Lake Aggasiz, which apparently drained some 8,400 years ago. JackJD actually spent his childhood summers on that lake.

Originally posted by yoteforever View PostYou might be right, and quite frankly it doesn't matter why SDSU hates USD or vice versa. The hatred goes back long before D-1 talk. In '78, we (USD football team) had to have a Highway Patrol escort in and out of the stadium and escorted us all the way back to Frost.
When we walked in CAS, we were saluted with several #1 finger salutes, and a few dead Coyotes tossed from the crowd. Personally speaking, that's what made the rivalry so fun was the toal disdain everyone had for each other. Those were the days.
I remember very clearly the patroman who escorted the non-kickers, quarterbacks, recievers, and skill players into CAS literally being half frightened. My gosh that was fun.
This ;-).... Is not allowed anymore, lest someone a. gets out of hand or more likely b. gets their feelings hurt... But I digress.

Re: D1 Pendulum Swinging Hard From Blue to Red
Time to get USD on the football schedule! An ass-thumping of the pups is just what this program could use right now!
Yeah, I said it! Could give two shakes about your win over the hapless Gophers. Been there and should have done that! Enjoy your win! Celebrate it! Justify your move up and the decision to look at the Jackrabbit's backside the whole way! Then get back in the closet and get used to being second-fiddle to the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits!
Ahhhhhh, serenity now! A good USD Smack post. I feel better now.
Screw the U!!!
GB, GB, GJ!
SUPERBUNNY
