WOW! 3 of the OK players picked in the first 3 rounds! Jacks WBB, playing in their house can hold their heads up high.

Gonzaga's Frieson also selected.

Looks like the Jacks played against 6 of the draftees, and went 2-2 in those games (beat Gonzaga & MTSU, lost to Virginia & Okla)

Although none of the current Jacks were on the team then, Kelsey Griffin of UNL also played against SDSU during the 2005-06 season (she redshirted a year). She scored a game-high 18 points as a true freshman in 68-49 loss to the Jacks in UNL.

Karina Figueroa of Long Beach State was invited to the Los Angeles Sparks' training camp. She hit the game deciding basket in a win against SDSU in the 2005-06 season and scored 6 points in Brookings the next season in a SDSU victory route. She also redshirted a season while concluding her career this year. Seeing how many WNBA draftees and training camp invitees that SDSU has played against, I can't help but think that we may see more Jackrabbit players get looked at by WNBA scouts in the future.

It is common in the wnba to have teams invite some graduating seniors from their geographic region to their camps. They do this for practice bodies as a lot of wnba players still aren't back from their teams overseas when camp begins.
