Vinatieri: Super Bowl Honor Team

Adam Vinatieri was selected last week as the kicker on the Super Bowl 50 Golden Team -- selection made by the voters for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Vinatieri has played in six Super Bowl games, four with New England and two with Indianapolis. Vinatieri was the only unanimous selection and the only active player named to the team.

He's a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame as soon as he's eligible. What a career!

If he gets in, he'd be in rare company... there is only one Hall-of-Famer that was strictly a kicker... Jan Stenerud. The others also played other positions. Lou Groza was a tackle while George Blanda was a QB.
