I find it interesting that years ago we were disappointed when Brandon Wegher didn't follow in his dad's footsteps and play for the Rabbits. Instead, we were blessed to watch ZZ have three consecutive 2,000 yard seasons. Now they've both made the NFL as undrafted free agents.
Now the NFL Network is featuring Brandon Wegher on their feature show Undrafted. They took different routes to playing on Sudays, but both have made it. Wegher made Carolina's 53-man roster. He had a less than stellar collegiate career starting at Iowa and finishing at Morningside with two stops in between. Drugs and other issues prevented him from achieving his collegiate goals, but a renewed focus with motivation from becoming a dad. While running backs have some of the shortest careers in the NFL, I'm hoping the both can have productive careers.
