Man the Lions could have used Zach today.

Just noticed that the Lions fired their OC Joe Lombardi and also a couple of offensive line coaches. http://www.freep.com/story/sports/nf...ardi/74646998/

This feels like Nate Wolters all over again. Go to a bad team, coaches like him, get playing time, get injured, everybody gets fired. Now he has to start back at square one. I hope ZZ gets healthy and gets a fair shot!

Was just thinking the same thing the last few weeks.

The GM and team president both got the ax today. Everybody else, including Caldwell, will be gone after the end of the season if not sooner.

Thank goodness he got an education. It would suck for his NFL career to be over, but it wouldn't suck to leave it for Med school. If Zach doesn't exemplify everything good about college sports, I don't know who does. Go Jacks, Go Zach!

Any one have an update on his injury and the recovery process? I thought someone said he was going to start working out or something to that affect.

Found this article. It said that he was going to start running soon.
Zenner said. "Just finally worked so hard to get to that point, and then have it all end so suddenly. But at the same time, I'm going to be getting back, getting ready to rock next year."

I have no doubt that he will be on a NFL roster next season. The question will be if he will remain on the Lions or not. I guessing the Lions WONT cut/release him.

What a guy. Nothing going to stop him from an NFL career.

Hard to imagine this being a bad thing for Zenner. But I suppose it may come down to the new GM.

Detroit Lions keep Jim Caldwell as head coach
