Re: Zenner continues to get attention
just an FYI, add Matthew Berry to the list of those who like what they see from Zenner. He has him atop his list of guys to draft and stash in fantasy football.

Nice story about "Doc" from ESPN. It talks about how he is balancing an NFL career with aspirations of attending USD, I mean med school.

Re: Zenner continues to get attention
This speaks volumes to the success Zenner has had thus far, and bodes well in terms of him making a 53 man roster, whether in Detroit, or somewhere else. "Per @PFF, after 2 Pre-Season games, Zach Zenner @zenner31 now has the highest overall rating among all NFL RBs at +3.2."

Re: Zenner continues to get attention
Some nice words from Bell and Stafford about Zenner:
Zach Zenner has earned the nickname of Doc because he’s been accepted to medical school.
The undrafted rookie running back has shown flashes all through camp. On Monday Matthew Stafford and Joique Bell commented on how holes seem to open when Zenner is handed the ball.
“We mess with Doc every time because every time Doc gets the ball the holes just open up. So we say give the ball to Doc. Very smart player, very physical, very strong, great vision the guy makes plays just look at his college it speaks for itself,’’ Bell said.
“You know, it seemed like every time we handed him the ball in the spring, it was like the perfectly blocked play for him and it was, you know, a nice big hole for him to go through and he was running it well, but he’s a smart guy,’’ Stafford said. “He understands where he needs to be in protection and that kind of thing which is big and then, when he’s gotten his chance with the football in his hands, he’s done a good job.’’

Re: Zenner continues to get attention
Zenner has a good feel for what to say around the press (e.g. 'I don't worry about things I can't control') ...obviously a sharp guy and if he makes that roster and gets some playing time, he'll be a press and a fan favorite.

Re: Zenner continues to get attention
Until it happens I am going to wait. After watch nate his rookie year I thought he still would have been in the nba. Things sure sound good. Just the nlf is so pass happy its hard imho to be a 3 or 4th string running back. Not a position seems to many teams worry about depth like they do say widerecievers.

I watched the second half of the game and must admit that Zenner looked good. I would be surprised if he was left off the 53 man roster.
