Re: Zenner continues to get attention

Not a Zenner homer here, but I do not understand what the Lions are doing.

They give Bell a ton of carries, and he has never been great, but whatever, what I don't understand is why do they activate Zenner if they aren't going to give him some carries?

Abdullah and Riddick are flashy, and do quite well, but they keep giving Bell carries that could go to those two, could go to Zenner, hell could go to their fullback.

There offensive line struggles, especially the right side, but that shouldn't matter, Bell is slow, can't break tackles and just isn't that good.

Until ZZ gets 10-15 touches in a game and tanks I'll still think he's the best RB they have and the best way to get AA some different looks. What a garbage team, crappy offense that is so complex that the guys can't run it. I wish some other team with RB issues/injuries would trade for him. Denver may need one, great fit there.

You're right, couldn't have done any worse. Bad place to be, poor organization in my estimation.
Johnson's advantage, is that the Cardinals planned to make him a part of the offense from the start.
yeah, ZZ was never supposed to make the final 53. Never a plan in that offense, I think it's time he got a chance. I may be biased though. 😉

Granted he has done it in 13 carries with 4.5 per, still for a team that stressed improvement running the ball they are failing miserably. Give ZZ the ball, if he goes 10 for 20 yds in a game I'll quit complaining.

side note, David Johnson had a great day for the cardinals.

My allegiance to the Vikings is mostly a matter of geography. So, I think I can cheer for the Lions. I've done it before -- when I was a kid, SDSU's Wayne Rasmussen was an outstanding defensive back for the Lions 1964-1972). Go Zach!

@OneWestSports Congrats to former Houston Texan and SDSU Jackrabbit Bryan Witzmann on signing with the Saints Practice Roster.

*I'm aware this is the Zach Zenner thread, but didn't feel like starting a new thread. Plus, Bryan was a big part of why Zach ran for 2,000 yards in 3 consecutive seasons
