Greg Doyel is a tool. Also, Kluwe made fun of the culture at PSU that allowed it to happen not making jokes of kids getting molested.

He might be a tool , but he is spot on in this case. Kluwe was an average punter that was replaced by another average punter that is paid about
$1,000,000 per year less. Should have been end of story.

Except that their reasoning that says he was released for his performance and the stats they cited didn't add up. Also was released due to his viewpoints

Countless NFL veterans fall victim to the salary cap every year. If the Vikings felt that Jeff Locke was a better value at $400,000 rather than Kluwe at $1.4 million , that is their right. The same thing happened with Ryan Longwell. If the Vikings would decide that Chad Greenway isn't worth the salary they are paying him , they can cut him and replace him with a cheaper version , regardless of what the stats are. And Kluwe was not discriminated against - he is not gay , rather he is married with children. And if he (or any other employee) make public statements that the Vikings felt reflected negatively on the team , don't they as a private company have the right to decide that they no longer want them as an employee ?

The entertainment is over. At least for now. Kluwe & Vikings agree on deal. Kluwe doesn't file lawsuit, Vikings donate to several gay-rights charities.
