Well one of the problems with Larry Sanders is his rebounding or lack thereof. The Bucks are 29th in rebounding and if you use Hollingers Team Rebounding Rate the Bucks are last. Larry Sanders' per 40 is 6.2pts 8.5reb 1.5ast with a rebounding rate of 12 while Pachulia per 40 is 20pt 12reb 3.6ast with a rebounding rate of 16.6. Also, Larry Sanders PER is atrocious and the ball seems to move better on offense with Pachulia on the floor as well as the rebounding is better.

Well, Larry Sanders is being investigated for an off-court incident and will not play tonight.

It also didn't help that he had a monster year last season and got a big contract. Seems like, in the NBA especially, that big contract makes guys much less motivated to keep up the amazing stats.

Same with baseball, guys in free agent years usually seem to have great years to draw a big contract and then once they sign the deal they struggle.

There's no actual statistical evidence to back it up. For every person that doesn't perform well after a contract, there are plenty that live up to it. We just end up hearing more about the former. There's also no evidence that athletes perform better on a year before their contract comes up, when some people think they would be "playing for a big contract."

Also, we're judging Larry Sanders 4 games into a 82 game season. He's a defensive stud.

If you or any one is able to watch how is he defense? he guarding Irving? 2nd on the team in scoring tonight behind mayo, tied for most rebounds and 2nd in assists for the half. not to shabby. getting to the free throw line it seems from the game tracker.

Has been guarding Irving for the most part and a little against Jack. Announcers praised Wolters D saying he is a better defender than most people realize.

So Mil pulls Wolters with about 3 minutes left up 100-90 and just lost the lead 104-103 with a minute to play.

Nate comes back in with a minute to go for Pachulia. Mil can't buy a bucket, finally Butler gets o-board and bucks take lead 105-104. 24 ticks left. CLE timeout.

                    Bucks hold on 109-104

Irving also got on fire after Wolters came out. At least the Bucks pulled it off.

I just listened to coach Larry Drew's comments online and not far into his comments he said "a guy who I think did just a tremdous job is Nate Wolters," mentioning his 33 minutes played with 6 assists and highlighting his 8 rebounds. He then said that he felt Nate really took on the challenge of defending Kyrie Irving and thought Irving hit some tought shots.

Wolters is a better defended then he gets credit for. Let's not forget what he did to Trey Burke in the NCAA tourney.

Most of the times in college he was conserving energy because he had to carry a big load on the offensive end as well as stay out of foul trouble.
