The roof went down at 5:00 am due to the weight of the 20 inch snowfall. The game is moved to Ford Field in Detroit Monday night. Those 5 guys they are showing on TV standing on the edge of the roof shoveling snow may be at it until St.Patty's day !

Re: Metrodome Roof Collapses
What is it about the NY Giants? They played New Orleans in 2005 in New York because Hurricane Katrina damaged the Super Dome. The Giants ended up playing 9 home games that year. Now they get another road game moved to Monday Night and now it is at a neutral site. That has to help the Giants take the crowd out of the game.
Oh what am I complaining about, I don't like the Vikings anyway.(\__/)

Re: Metrodome Roof Collapses
Well look at this video that shows the roof collapsing and snow falling onto the field. You don't want to be standing under that.
Here is the video.(\__/)

Re: Metrodome Roof Collapses
Can you believe that the Univ of Minn and the Minnesota Vikings need volunteers to shovel out the Gopher stadium so the Vikings will maintain their revenue stream! They will even provide shovels! This per an article in the Argus!
Joe six pack are they going to sucker you?

Re: Metrodome Roof Collapses
The dome has been outdated since the day after it opened. Too many financial corners were cut in building that place - narrow corridors, small bathrooms, tight seating, flimsy roof. The only positives are that it was built downtown and that it was enclosed so that it can be used year-round for other activities as sports teams abadonned it, one by one. The departure of the Vikings will be the final blow. The dome might not even last 30 years. That's pretty bad for a building made largely of concrete and steel. This space for lease.
